[1929] Activities: Dramatic Club Member. Member of the Dramatic Club, which presented 'Apple Blossom Time' and 'The Last of the Lowries'. [1929] Activities: Member. Member of The Maroon & White Music Club. "Will power with capability back of it." [1930] Activities: Dramatic Club. The Dramatic Club was reorganized this year, September 4, with seven old members present. Officers and the sponsor were elected, and plans were made for tryouts, which were held October 1-2. Twenty new members were added to the club, all of which were splendid material. "Climbing Roses", by Eugene Hafer, was the name of the annual play given January 16. It was also presented in Doniphan on January 30 under the auspices of the Eastern Star. For the past three years the Dramatic Club has won first place at the Cape Girardeau Spring Meet, bringing home each year the cup as first prize. [1930] Activities: Dramatic Club Play, Climbing Roses (Play). One of the most popular plays of the season.
