James H. Faith

James H. “Jim” Faith was a longtime downtown Poplar Bluff businessman. His company, Faith’s Business Equipment, later advertised as Jim Faith’s Office Supplies, occupied the storefront at 416 Vine Street from 1971. Later advertising noted that the locally owned business had been in the same location for more than 48 years, and the company was still listed at 416 Vine Street in 2019, offering office supplies, furniture and catalogs with free in-town delivery. Faith died in 2008, but the business continued. For nearly half a century his name stood on a building that had previously served as a livery stable, an automobile garage and an automobile dealership.
