Biography
Miles C. Hays was born September 6, 1914, in Poplar Bluff, a son of Paul C. and Buena Vista Hays. He married Jessie Denton on March 9, 1935. Hays spent 41 years with the American National Insurance Company before retiring.
He remained involved in the community as a member of the Shriners and Masons, a past member of the Commerce Bank board, and a supporter of Three Rivers Community College. He was also a member of First Baptist Church. At his death on June 29, 1991, at age 76, his survivors included his daughter Janice Hays Chadla, sister-in-law Letha Hays, nephew Gregory Hays, and niece Luana Hays.
